Horacio Lopez Bonilla was born in Tetela de Ocampo, in Puebla’s Sierra Norte. He studied painting at the ENPEG, National Institute of Fine Arts (INBA) in Mexico City, where he now lives and paints.


He runs to keep fit and healthy, savouring every breath, every new angle and image to which his feet carry him, but he paints to feel… alive!.


In rainbows, just as in painting, colour is born from light, from a spiritual yearning.


Painting is the result of many years of work - it doesn’t happen overnight.
